Henry's Favorite Snacks & Skincare Picks

Aoki Shofuan Iyemon Tsukigesho Matcha Manju

My absolute favorite! The rich matcha flavor and pillowy manju are just perfect. Honestly, this is what made me fall in love with matcha sweets.

Meiji Almond Chocolate

The crunch of almonds with smooth chocolate is so satisfying. I can't get enough!

Bioré UV AQUA Rich Watery Essence

This sunscreen is so smooth—it feels like water on my skin. Personally, I think it's way better than Nivea, and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling.

Joseph's Must-Try Snacks & Condiments

Whale eats boy.

S&B Okazu Layu Chili Oil Condiment

I love this stuff, and it's saved countless dinners for me. When I'm lazy and don't feel like cooking, this with rice makes for an unnutritious but deliciously filling meal. I have at least two in my apartment at all times.

MUJI Nama Chocolate Truffles

After a long hard day at work, I love treating myself to these chocolates. So rich, creamy, melty... I think I'm going to treat myself today.

Calbee JagaRico Potato Sticks - Buttered Potato Flavor

Instead of popcorn, this is my go-to Netflix binging snack. It's incredibly crunchy so I can't hear anything, but that's not a problem when there are subtitles!

UU’s Best Instant Ramen & Skincare Picks

I love anime, manga, and games, so I drew this illustration with the theme of "What happens to my character in such a two-dimensional world?" (Note: It doesn't resemble me at all.)

Ajinomoto Knorr Egg Drop Soup

Convenient and delicious. Just pour in hot water to complete a dish. The perfect amount of salt enhances the taste of eggs and harmonizes perfectly with the flavor of kelp.

Ichiran Ramen

I think Ichiran Ramen is a classic, so the only reason I can think of for recommending it is the deliciousness that can be recreated at home.

MUJI Light Toning Water (High Moisture)

I'm sensitive to fragrances and sometimes feel irritation when using toner. Especially this winter, my skin is already prone to fluctuations, and having to wear a mask adds friction, making it more susceptible to irritation. That's why I always keep this toner both at work and at home.

Nola's Skincare & Gourmet Snack Favorites

MiauMall's resident J-Rock fan.

Pieras Propolinse Mouthwash

This mouthwash contains natural propolis from honeybees that binds with plaque or biofilm—you can actually see it washing down the drain. It comes in different flavors like cherry blossom and yuzu and feels like it's really working when the color changes. I use it every day!

House of Rose Oh! Baby Body Smoother

House of Rose has everything I'm looking for in a body scrub—it has a truly scrubby sensation and is made with alkaline hot spring water and silk to make your skin super smooth. It's a savior in the dry winter months.

Suzette C3 Baked Tiramisu

I brought this home from a trip to Tokyo after sampling it in store—it tastes just like a tiramisu muffin, with hints of coffee and mascarpone and a soft, chocolatey center. It disappeared fast in my home, and I can't wait to pick up another box.

Alex's Go-To Treats & Incense

A little caricatured version of myself during my time in Korea before moving to Japan.

Nestlé Matcha KitKats

Matcha and chocolate? Yes please! The perfect balance of bitter and sweet—whether young or old, you can't go wrong with this duo.

Blendy Regular Drip Coffee

I drink coffee almost every day, and Japan's drip-style coffee makes it easy to get a quick, delicious cup. Although I typically like to grind my own coffee, when I don't have the time to brew one up, this is a great alternative for a quick and smooth cup of Joe!

Nippon Kodo Tokyo Incense Selection / OEDO-KOH

Incense can lighten up any mood—whether you're winding down to sleep, setting a vibe, or just want your space to smell amazing, a little goes a long way.

Sabina's Must-Have Energy Snacks & Skincare

I like making things with my hands in my spare time, so I made this bee for my newly born niece!

DUO The Cleansing Balm Black Repair

I love using cleansing balms and oils to remove my makeup and all the skin build-up because they're gentle but effective. DUO Balm does exactly what you expect from a good cleanser, removing unnecessary products from your skin without completely stripping it of natural oils. Also, a huge plus is that you don't need to double cleanse, which is great for lazy skincare enthusiasts like myself.

Asahi Cream Genmai Bran Energy Bars

This snack is great for busy days when you don't have time for breakfast or need a quick snack on the go. Not only are they delicious, but they're also packed with various nutrients your body needs to stay healthy. I also like that you can choose your favorite flavors like dark chocolate, maple, or blueberry, and many more.

Momoya Spicy Chili Oil

I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but this chili oil has the right amount of spice and rich flavors of chili peppers, garlic, and onions that add a nice kick to your meals. I like to use it with a little bit of vinegar for gyoza and homemade ramen, but you can use it with whatever you want. There's a milder version of this oil that you can eat with rice by itself as okazu.

Terrell's Luxury Skincare & Sweet Treats

I feel like this is a fairly accurate anime bartender version of me (with more manageable hair of course).

SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion

It's a bit expensive, but after winning this, I can honestly say that it's a top-of-the-line essence. I use it after a shave and before and after a night out. The fermentation process that goes into this lotion means that it absorbs into the skin super quickly while nourishing the skin—which is exactly what I need before and after a night of drinking.

Kanebo Scrubbing Mud Wash

This is one of the most popular scrubbing washes in Japan, and it's easy to see why. This scrub has lava clay in it that helps to exfoliate away dead skin and absorb oil. It comes out as a paste but lathers up nicely with a bit of water. I use it about twice a week, and it keeps my skin so soft and feeling great!

Asahi Ippon Manzoku White Chocolate Cereal Bar

I basically live on these. It's a simple yet perfect combination of cereal, white chocolate, and dried fruits that satisfies my sweet tooth. Plus, it feels healthier than some of my other favorite sweet treats, so I like to eat one as an after-lunch snack or a nighttime dessert.

We have tons more products that we love, but these are the ones that bring us the most joy! Let us know if you want even more recommendations!

And there you have it—a glimpse into our world of cherished indulgences and skincare secrets. Perhaps you'll uncover a new snack to savor or a skincare gem that elevates your routine.
