Important Notice for Our U.S. Customers
Updated September 18, 2025
Beginning August 29, 2025, new U.S. import regulations require a 15% tariff on all goods shipped from Japan to the United States. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we adapt to these changes.
In order for MiauMall to continue bringing authentic Japanese goods directly to our U.S. customers, we’ve adjusted how duties are handled.
How MiauMall Handles U.S. Duties (Effective September 18, 2025)
As of September 18, 2025, MiauMall now collects U.S. duties directly at checkout. Duties are automatically calculated and included in your order total. By collecting duties upfront, we aim to provide a smoother delivery experience with no surprise charges at the door.
In addition to the mandatory 15% duty, the total amount is calculated based on the following factors:
- Item value
- Country of origin
- HS code (product classification in the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule)
- Current trade agreements between the US and Japan.
Orders from the U.S. Placed Between August 29, 2025, and September 18, 2025
If you placed an order during this period, you might receive a notice from the carrier (DHL, FedEx, etc.) requesting duty payment. If this happens, please contact us at service@miaumall.com.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition. As U.S. import regulations continue to evolve, we will keep you updated to ensure the best possible service.
For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us here or email us at service@miaumall.com.
Thank you for shopping with MiauMall. We remain committed to sharing the best of Japan with you.
