Mechanism Behind Abscess Formation

An "abscess" is a skin condition characterized by pus, swelling, and the painful symptoms that occur when bacteria infect the hair follicles. Here's how it develops:

1. Bacteria invade and proliferate in the hair follicle.

2. An immune response begins, causing the follicle to become red and swollen.

3. Pus accumulates due to dead bacteria and immune cells, causing further swelling and pressure on pain nerves, resulting in intense pain.

How Odecure EX Works: Draining Pus and Reducing Swelling

To treat painful abscesses, it's effective to target both pus and swelling. Odecure EX combines:

• Sulfadiazine (an antibacterial agent) to suppress pus formation.

• Diphenhydramine Salicylate to reduce swelling.

By addressing both pus and swelling, Odekure EX effectively treats painful abscesses.

To prevent reinfection or worsening of the condition:

• Point 1: After application, cover the area with a gauze or similar material to catch any draining pus.

• Point 2: Continue using the medication until the redness has fully subsided, even if the swelling and pain decrease.

• Point 3: Avoid squeezing the abscess yourself, as it could damage the area and cause reinfection, leading to prolonged symptoms or scarring.

Indications and Effects

Effective for treating infectious skin conditions such as impetigo, boils, and folliculitis.

Instructions for Use

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area several times a day, or spread on a gauze and apply.

Note:

1. If using on a child, ensure they are supervised by a guardian.

2. Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with water or lukewarm water. If symptoms persist (e.g., redness, pain, or excessive tearing), consult an eye specialist.

Sodium edetate, octyldodecanol, carboxyvinyl polymer, stearyl alcohol, stearic acid, D-sorbitol, triisooctanoyl glycerin, phytosterols, propylene glycol, behenyl alcohol, behenic acid, stearyl glyceryl stearate, polyoxyethylene behenyl ether, stearyl macrogol stearate, lactic acid, sodium L-lactate.

Precautions for Use

Consultation:

   • Are receiving medical treatment.

   • Have had allergic reactions (e.g., rash, redness, itching, or irritation).

   • Have extensive affected areas.

   • Have severe moisture or irritation in the affected area.

   • Have deep wounds or serious burns.

2. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider if any of the following occur after use:

   • Skin reactions like rash, redness, itching, or swelling.

3. If symptoms do not improve after 5–6 days of use, stop and consult a healthcare provider.

Storage and Handling

1. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

2. Keep out of reach of children.

3. Do not transfer to another container as it may affect quality and cause misuse.

4. Do not use the product after its expiration date. Even before the expiration date, use it as soon as possible after opening.
